Stellex Capital is a private investment firm focused on acquiring and transforming middle-market businesses, especially operationally complex or underperforming “dirty-fingernail” companies. Their hands-on, gritty, and collaborative approach centers on operational improvement, long-term value creation, and strong partnerships with operators and management teams.
For the rebrand and website refresh, Stellex asked for a clearer, more compelling way to communicate who they are, what sets them apart, and the impact of their work. This included elevating their messaging, refining their visual identity, restructuring the site to better highlight their investment strategy, case studies, and team culture, and integrating consistently updated content for stronger SEO and engagement. In this project, I worked on shaping the visual direction, reorganizing the site architecture, enhancing narrative clarity, and developing design concepts that reflect Stellex’s ethos of grit, operational excellence, and partnership.

Next Steps
After completing Round 1, we combined Direction 2 (Starblazers) with Direction 3 (Machined Mastery). Starblazers — centered on ambition, aiming high, and setting bold goals — remained the core conceptual driver. However, we integrated the down-to-earth, gritty, “dirty-fingernail” photography style from Machined Mastery to ground the vision in Stellex’s real operational identity. The result is a hybrid direction that balances aspiration with authenticity, reflecting both the firm’s forward-looking mindset and its hands-on investment approach.
